STATEMENT
My work originated as a tribute to biodiversity. Through my painting, I seek to highlight the role that each living being plays in the vital balance of ecosystems, understanding that the protection of nature is, in essence, a necessary value for our own existence.
In my process, I use the material duality of oil and acrylic, the encounter between water and oil, to represent the tension between what remains and what fades away. In these "Portraits of Nature," the detailed depiction of fauna merges with abstract and fluid backgrounds, creating an atmosphere where the species seems to emerge from a constantly dissolving landscape.
This technique of glazes and transparencies allows me to evoke the fragility of wildlife, especially those species in danger of extinction.
My work seeks to engage the viewer, inviting them to recognize the beauty and vulnerability of wildlife and to reflect on our relationship with nature, making it clear that, even if we distance ourselves from it, we are and will be part of it.
